Catholic Women's League
The Holy Rosary parish CWL branch was the first to be established in
WA in July 1937.
Since its inception, CWL has been a vital part of our parish.
Its patron is “Our Lady help of Christians”, and
its motto is “Charity, Work, Loyalty”.
The League is a parish based organisation
which mainly concerns itself with women’s,
families’, social justice, human rights’ and bioethical issues. It also
provides support to the spiritual and practical needs of the community, and is able to (amongst other

The League operates not only in the parish, but has associations at
diocesan, State and national levels. Through its ties with the World Union of Catholic Women’s
Organisations, it is represented at the Vatican and the UN.
The League is involved in ecumenical functions including the annual
global World Day of Prayer services, the National Council of Women and Australian Church Women. It
forms a triad with St Vincent de Paul Society and the Knights of the Southern Cross.
